CEO and Founder: Liza N. Mims

Liza N. Mims was born and raised in Laredo, Texas.                                            She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)                                                  and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA).                                                                She has worked in the field of                                                                          Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2016.                                                          Liza graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas                                        with dual degrees, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Learning and Development with a minor in Criminology.

Shortly after graduation, Liza returned home and joined the District Attorney’s Office where she founded Webb County Freedom Riders, a 501(c)(3) equine center for children struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety disorder. During her six years working as an equine therapist, Liza realized there was a tremendous need to provide broader behavioral services to the youth in our community and their families.

While working full time, Liza continued her education and graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. After completing her Master’s degree, Liza sat for Behavior Analyst Certification Board exam to earn her board certification in behavior analysis. As part of her graduate school curriculum, Liza began providing ABA services to children diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. Liza has always been passionate about helping and advocating for children who cannot advocate for themselves. LNM Behavioral Therapy is a place where we will support and listen to children                                                           and     families with needs.
